Walt Disney World is the first and most significant of all of the theme parks in the state of florida and to most surpasses the original Disneyland, the original park created in California. It is thanks to this park that an agricultural area was turned into one of the most profitable and lucrative enterprises that attracts millions of families each year on vacation. Before Walt Disney, Orlando, Florida was originally known as the United States greatest retirement home. In fact Orlando is now synonymous with Disney world and it is dubious that many people know anytime of the town other than it theme park attractions and hotel complexes. The first park created at Walt Disney world was the Magic Kingdom that opened back in 1971 and centred on rides and amusements using cartoon characters invented by the magic pen of Walt Disney. Walt Disney World itself is twice the size of the island of Manhattan. It is in constant evolution incorporating the new characters that are born from the Disney enterprise updated with all that the advances in technology can provide. Walt Disney World comprises four main theme parks each a completely independent and individual in premise. The magic kingdom is the park that represents the magic world of fantasy with its Cinderella castle and it mascots of Mickey Mouse and Pluto. Here you can find Mickey mouse rambling among the crowds shaking hands with children and taking photographs for that Kodak moment. The Epcot centre is the second them park that was added in 1982 and is more for an adult market interested in science and technology culminating it its golf ball shape geosphere. The MGM studios shows the behind the scenes of film making with all of the special effects used to make movie history. The latest addition to the corporation is the Animal Kingdom that gathers all wildlife from Africa and Asia in a single theme park setting. |
