The Magic Kingdom was designed following the same structure of the original park in California. The park is divided into four themes or lands, Tomorrowland, Frontierland, Fantasyland and Adventureland. Tomorrowland is the most adrenaline producing with the original roller coaster ride on Space Mountain, whirling through galaxies. The more recent additions are also the most terrifying such as the Extra Terrestrial Alien Encouter. Frontierland offers similarly themed rides, with the emphasis on travellers going through new countries. Splash Mountain is a fun boat ride with Brer Rabbit that ends in a screaming 50ft drop. Big Thunder Mountain is a gentle ride on a runaway train on your way to scream city and the Haunted Mansion with its incredible holograms and great spooks. If you are so inclined you can dance with furry bears in the Jamboree. In fantasyland you get to enter the quintessential magical world of Disney where you play in Cinderella's pink castle. If you want the bizarre hop on the boat through it's a small world, a ride designed to promote global brotherhood and peace and love but given that it was done in the 70s it borders on ridiculous and very much for the very young. When you have overdosed on sentimental head to Adventureland where you can become and adventurer and sail through Pirates of the Carabbean, once again geared very much for the younger set. |
